JOB DESCRIPTION

As a landscape gardener with us, you will play an important role in creating and maintaining well-kept parks, plantings, lawns, and clean streets. Your work will include both operational-related construction work and ongoing maintenance of green areas, lawn mowing, grass trimming, hedge trimming, weed removal, planting, and cleanliness. The work in the park unit is very broad, and you will perform very varied tasks that should be considered fun and exciting.

Your tasks are very varied and can include everything from smaller detailed projects to larger park works such as planting trees and setting up Christmas trees. If necessary, the work may also involve driving a tractor, harrowing, and working with a water cart, among others. You will work both independently and in a team, and you will have close contact with customers and partners to realize their visions for public spaces. Through your work, you ensure that the municipality's land looks nice and well-kept.

Possible on-call duty may be included in the position, so we prefer that you have experience with machinery.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a post-secondary education in maintenance, gardening, or management of outdoor environments. The education should cover at least one year and provide a good theoretical foundation in plant knowledge, pruning, planting, and garden design.

We also see that you have completed the training Work on the Road 1.1-1.3.

As a person, you enjoy working independently and in collaboration with others. You are structured and plan your tasks in advance. The work requires problem-solving skills and flexibility to handle various situations that arise during the workday regarding machinery, weather, and other practical challenges.

We also require that you have a B driving license and have experience working with a brush cutter with blade and line. It is an advantage if you have good machinery experience and have operated lawn mowers, tractors, and water carts (large tractor).
